The Cardscan Executive eliminates data entry of business cards by scanning in the business cards and placing the information in the correct data fields. The Cardscan Executive is also portable so if you use a laptop you do not have to wait to get back to the office you can connect it with a USB cord and start scanning the business card immediately.
Some of the challenges that are associated with Cardscan Executive is that with some cards that have out of the ordinary fonts and graphics, it may put some of the information off of the business card in the wrong field or have a difficult time reading the card. Fortunately, the Cardscan Executive will take a picture of the card so if you need the information you will be able to access it. The Cardscan Executive can scan cards at 3 seconds per card and takes 6 to 12 seconds to process the image so you have to decide if this is faster than you manually imputing the data yourself.
The Cardscan Executive is also compatible with many software products such as Act, Microsoft Outlook, and Goldmine, just to name a few so what you are looking for a contact, a phone number, or e-mail address you just open up any of those programs or your PDA and have this information at your fingertips.
